Makala Morales is a planner with the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP), where she focuses on providing technical planning assistance to communities and building local government capacity. With a background in affordable housing, Makala has extensive experience working with nonprofits on Chicago's South and West Sides to alleviate homelessness and address addiction issues.
A Midwesterner who grew up in Indiana, Makala holds a Master's degree in Sustainable Urban Development from DePaul University and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from Indiana University.
