The Emerging Leaders Internship program offers paid internships in the affordable housing industry at a variety of development firms and housing authorities in the state. The program takes place over a 10-week period during the summer. Interns will work directly for one of the companies listed here while participating in supplemental learning opportunities such as lunch-and-learns, trainings, and property tours hosted by IHC.
Internship positions are primarily focused on affordable housing development and preservation. Skills interns can expect to gain will depend on the specific internship position and host company but may include financial modeling and proformas; funding application; closings; community and resident engagement; design and construction management; asset and property management; and/or affordable housing policy.
